Why Does God Allow Suffering?

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Calamities, children dying from hunger, molested teens, and unpunished murderers. Where is God? Those are the questions we frequently hear from skeptics.

Here are the 3 reasons why I think God allows such sufferings.

1. We live in a fallen world. And the real problem is that we think we know better than God. But our ways are not His ways. Our wisdom is to feed our tummy today but His divine wisdom concerns our salvation. Your tummy can be full today but what is the use if you will lose your soul tomorrow?

2. God never promised us to be problem free. In fact, He said we will have troubles. It is not His responsibility to feed us. Did we forgotten the curse that we are to work until we come back to dust. To tell the truth, God is so loving that He gave us clothing even if we rebelled against Him.

3. So after reading those two reasons, still we are not satisfied because the problem was not solved. Well read this, God already appointed a time when He will deliver His divine judgment and will wipe the tears from our eyes. Until that moments comes, we are commanded to give one of our tunic if we have two.

Brethren, God is allowing everything so that He can be glorified. He wants us to call on Him like Job so He can calm the storm and give us rest in this troubled world.

Satan is still ruling this world. Do you remember he even offered it to Yeshua?! But once the new Jerusalem is built, God’s Kingdom will reign forever.

Who are going to hell:

Psalm 9:17

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

What happens in hell:

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ

9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.

How to be saved:

Romans 10:9

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

About 150,000 people die each day and it could be someone you know, love or you!

So repent today and trust in Jesus.

  1. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. To me, its not that God always evil to happen. He has given us a free will to choose between good and evil; obedience and disobedience. reward and punishment are embedded in each other. If you obey the command of God, you reap the reward of God’s blessings. If you disobey, you pay the price through some kind of suffering.
