No one cares about righteousness these days.
Everyday we wakeup to pursue our worldly desires hoping it would change into a magical day. We try to fill the void in our heart through career, relationship, hobbies and many more. But at the end of the day when we hit the sack, everything just seemed vanity. We still have that void. Whatever we do, be it with work, our aspirations, and any other worldly pursuit are worthless if we would just live and then die. Yes, everything is just vanity. Everything is just to delude ourself.
In short, the sad thing is that no matter what we do we are empty inside. We live in a world where everyone is on a happiness quest. And if God hinders that, then too much for God.
