Death and Hell

Hebrews 9:27
Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.

The general answer of people when asked on what age they are going to die is that they will live to see 50, 60, or even 70 years old. But in reality not even one of us is guaranteed another minute of life.

People live, party, and sin like there is no tomorrow without even thinking about their eternal destination. There is no sense of urgency to get right with God because they assume that they can do it anytime they want. Even worse, some would try reason out that there is really no point on doing so because the whole point of life is to endulge on pleasures. But in reality, once death catches upon a person their eternal destination is already decided as they await in Sheol. And just right after that transition, a person will either be bounded to spend eternal happiness or eternal damnation through God’s moral law on judgment day. And let me tell you, hell is really the last place you would want to go.

Here are some of the Bible Verses that highlights death and hell.

Hebrews 9:27

Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.

Matthew 13:50

And will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Mark 9:43-48

And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, ‘where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.

Therefore, brothers and sisters I urge you to repent at this very moment and trust in Jesus Christ alone because no one really knows if you will still be here for tomorrow.

Romans 10:9

That if you confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus/Yeshua and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
